Our Logo

The logo for Mahali pa Maisha was painstakingly created in an effort to capture the essence of this “place of life”
The Acacia “Umbrella Tree” is very common across East Africa and is a place where a weary soul can always find shade and a place to rest. It’s tall and wide upper branches provide a place of respite for birds and small animals as well. The tree can be found in some of the most difficult environments and God has given it the ability to sustain life in the harshest of conditions. Like the little ones God brings into our care, they have endured a tough start to life, but with God’s Help, they will endure and grow strong and tall.

The starfish story is well known as the little boy tossed starfish back into the ocean as he stands amid thousands of them which has been washed ashore, stranded and dying. But like the little boy, we believe that we can make a difference as we save one life at a time. “What difference does it make?” To this “one”, it makes all the difference in the world.
