Mission Statement
Mahali pa Maisha, Swahili for “A Place of Life”, shows the love of Jesus Christ and shares His hope by enriching the overall holistic health of abandoned babies and vulnerable children.
Statement of Faith: We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. And we believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father [and the Son]; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And we believe one holy Christian and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. |
We believe that every abandoned child deserves to be healthy and have their own Christian Forever Family that will enable them to reach their full potential for long-term success in life. We believe that every vulnerable child deserves to have their basic needs met and an opportunity to reach their full potential for long-term success in life. |
What we do – Provide care to rescued babies and promote essential life-enriching assistance for vulnerable children. Train and empower adults to be able to better care for the children under their keep. “It takes a village.” We are saving children from long term physical and emotional damage due to abandonment. |
Why we do it – Because no child should: go hungry or drink dirty water, not have their basic health needs met, not know the Truth of Jesus Christ, lack a clean bed, or die from a preventable illness, never know a loving embrace, or grow up without a supportive family. We know we cannot save them all, but we can save “this one.” |
