Water
Because clean, safe water is so critical to life, we assist homes and communities in obtaining a source for clean water when possible. Remote communities, such as the Maasai village of Inkiito located near Isinya used to have to walk many miles for water that was usable, but very dirty. Through our partners around the world we have been able to provide a borehole that is providing safe pure water all year round. They are now able to provide for the families and livestock which are such a vital part of their lives.
We also provide CPUs (Chlorine Producing Units) to children homes that have a source of water that may not be safe to drink for the children. The gadget connects to a motorcycle battery and as a liter of saltwater is poured through several times it turns it into pure chlorine. This chlorine is then put into a large container of the unsafe water and kills all bacteria present. This unit allows the homes to purify their own water source to assist in keeping the children healthier.
